Design
Hydra is designed as a fully modular concept, offering maximum flexibility. It supports a wide variety of condenser microphone capsules through easily interchangeable adapter rings. Effortlessly switch between your favorite (vintage) capsules.
Microphone capsule compatibility
Although the KM180 series was not originally conceived as a modular microphone system, its capsules can be carefully detached and used with the Hydra microphone amplifier. The capsules’ natural high-frequency lift complements the Hydra Tube beautifully. This combination delivers a noticeable sonic upgrade over the standard KM180 body.
