Arrived: D₂O microphone preamp 500 series D₂O is a low noise discrete microphone preamp inspired by the famous German V series preamps of the 40's and 50's. It comes in two versions: an all jFet design and a Hybrid tube/fet preamp. D₂O's general layout consists of a Lundahl 1538 input transformer followed by a 2 stage amplifier with enough gain to amplify all types of microphones. Output drive is supplied by a discrete low impedance jFet buffer with superb sonic properties. Quality Paper in oil coupling capacitors are used, all other used components are high-end grade aswell. News: The FetHead family is growing We are happy to announce two new types of FetHead have been added to our product range! FetHead Filter FetHead Filter is a new type of FetHead with the same appealing sonic character as a normal FetHead, with the addition of a built-in high pass filter which reduces the proximity effect of long ribbon motor ribbon microphones. Adding FetHead Filter to the signal chain makes these microphones more suitable for recording vocals or other sources in which an overly pronounced proximity effect is unwanted. FetHead Phantom FetHead Phantom allows phantom power to reach the microphone. This FetHead version was developed after several requests from audio engineers to come up with a FetHead version for (low output) condenser microphones. It has the same pristine sound quality as a classic FetHead and is especially usefull for recording low level sources or in situations where extra gain is required.
